We were never going to have all the geriatricians that folks had forecast, whether it was 25,000 in 2025 or 30,000 in 2030, we were never going to get there. We can train medical students and residents about geriatrics without geriatricians. Eric: Yeah, I love just creating the community of people who are passionate about that.

I think the first time I noticed it was, like as a medical student when you would rotate on one service with one attending and they would make decisions about how to treat a case one way. So they used the same shtick, but that non-verbal communication was very different. And so have some of my mentees. And very time-consuming.
