Of note, 11,224 physicians have been board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism since the certification was first offered in 1972. In 2024, 77% of eligible ABIM Board Certified endocrinologists who chose an assessment opted for the LKA over the traditional, 10-year MOC exam.
