So we did a podcast on aging and homelessness with Margot Kushel in 2023. You know, we found that 64% of the people we cared for never went to the hospital or ER. When they think about homelessness, their mind goes to what I would call the individual risk factors, things like having a substance use disability or mental health disability. In the United States in 2023, the truth of the matter is you don’t need very many individual risk factors to become homeless.
