PEMPix is the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Emergency Medicine’s annual visual diagnosis competition. The family declined an enema in the ED, and she was discharged home on a miralax cleanout to follow up with her PCP. This is the first of the four cases. She was diagnosed with constipation.

This diagnosis increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Get a regular annual physical with your PCP (Primary Care Physician), get moderate physical activity at least 4-5 days per week (30 minutes), eat a healthy diet, and know your risk factors.
