Mothers with T2D were more likely than their counterparts with gestational diabetes to experience pregnancy-induced hypertension, a preterm birth at less than 37 weeks, and preeclampsia. The National Pregnancy in Diabetes Audit 2020 identified glucose control as being the main modifiable risk factor for pregnancy outcomes in T2D.

Context: Patients with chronic medical conditions (CCs) and behavioral comorbidities have lower quality of life and increased healthcare expenses. Of those patients with a BH referral and a chronic condition, hypertension was the most common (n= 2,053, 51%). 8% (n= 1,146) were ordered for medical condition management.

And we often do, as healthcare providers, care for people who are going through traumatic events, through just being sick in the hospital or a home or dying at home. So we all went through a pandemic. I guess that’s an event.

We sought to analyse how prescribing trends have changed over time, utilising a dataset containing all prescriptions signed and dispensed in the UK by primary care facilities from January 2014 to November 2020. Despite the spike in prescribing of insulins, oral antidiabetic medications were not similarly affected.
