A 2020 RCT of coaching for primary care physicians shows that coaching improves burnout well-being during the intervention and has a sustained duration at 6 months of follow up. We make a diagnosis. Second thing to say is that I think referrals are really important. I have hired coaches based on referrals. Is that right?

It’s that first place that you start where it may not be the AAAs job, but we’ve organized where they have to have the partnerships and they know who the players are and they know who to make a referral to. And that referral can be done in real time, a soft handoff. And then, the system responds in turn.
