Medical Respite Care : Mr. Watts advocated for medical respite, a safe place to heal and “short circuit” the street-emergency room-street-emergency room cycle as a way to treat people experiencing homelessness who are not sick enough for inpatient service, but too sick to send back out to the streets, only for their sickness to worsen.
