I see this in the hospital when I’m doing addiction medicine consults. But back in 2019, there was a lot of disagreement in our group about whether for a patient with cancer and cancer related pain and a substance use disorder, whether palliative care was the appropriate specialty to care for those patients. Alex: In 2019 … You wrote two viewpoints about AI recently in JAMA, relatively recently. I guess, 2019, and then, one again about last month or so. The results were that the chat bots got the diagnoses right and had an escalation strategy that was better than the doctors, as judged by blinded specialists reading the transcripts.
