On January 7, 2025, SAMHSA announced the award of one-year Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) Demonstration planning grants to 14 states and Washington, D.C., CCBHCs focus on comprehensive behavioral health services, ensuring 24/7 crisis care, care coordination, and a broader continuum of behavioral health treatment.

To start with assessing all these syndromes and palliative care related problems and geriatric syndromes, so that we can create interventions that allow people to receive the cutting edge therapies. Michele: Yeah, so in May of 2018, there was an article by Suleika Jaouad in the New York Times Magazine, and they spent about two weeks in our hospice with us learning about the work that’s done. Michele: The article was 2018, but I think Bonnie read the article more recently. We have about 450 inpatient mental health beds.
