Eric: For those of you don’t know, Emmy was on our podcast back in 2018 … man, pre-COVID times. Emmy: That, to me, is the ideal checkup-type situation. Or somebody who has other physical cognitive problems at any age. Certainly my bias is that healthcare professionals really do have a role in this discussion.

I mean, I don’t want to speak to your healthcare system and what’s happened, but that to me seems inappropriate. So when I turned 40, I went in to get my checkup. So prior to the new criteria that were proposed in 2018, the criteria were the presence of amyloid in tau was the definition of Alzheimer’s disease.
