A surrogate endpoint is a marker, such as a laboratory measurement, radiographic image, physical sign or other measure that is thought to predict clinical benefit but is not itself a measure of clinical benefit. If they’re in a major car crash, they’re going to have more long-term complications probably than a 20-year-old would. Or somebody who has other physical cognitive problems at any age. I think it was 2014, but we did a survey of driving rehabilitation specialists in the U.S. Those things do just accumulate with age.
