There’s an organization that I took my training from, which began, I want to say, in 2012. I can name probably 10 organizations across the United States where you can get education on being an end-of-life doula and they’re all slightly different. Alex: That is not around the time of diagnosis. Jane: Right.

And she was from Oregon, of course, and in Oregon in 2012, she had completed an advanced directive for stopping eating and drinking once she had advanced dementia. Just got the diagnosis based on blood tests of amyloid. Then just got the diagnosis. And I knew it was a matter of time before this came along. What about stage four?
