Many years ago for the first study; I believe it was in 2009, 2010; I met with Susan Mitchell at the Institute for Aging Research, and told her that I wanted to study the use of feeding tubes for people with advanced dementia. And the entire community of palliative care said yes, not a palliative care study. I don’t know if we captured where the hospice referral came from.
