So at least in my oncology community, I really didn’t have anyone guiding or supporting or mentoring me. Jennifer: It was 2010. Eric: 2010. And for the most part, it’s really hard to start building an evidence base in the community setting. Most people aren’t coming to UCSF or MGH for their healthcare.

Nursing home, length of stay, I think it was like back in 2010, at the end of life. But some of these things are addressable potentially through education. So the Uplift study is doing a mix of this, educating staff, you know, so they know the difference between hospice and palliative care basics around symptom management, et cetera.
