So Tammie developed something called EPIC for Emergency medicine, which is a curriculum that was one of the first ways that I think palliative care got spread in our community. We adapted a small group of us, Vital Talk for emergency medicine, which is communication skills training using simulation. And so we use that. That is safe.

I you use the Lee Schonberg prognostic index for community dwelling older adults you will be directed to the tool, and it will automatically place the life expectancy at the calculated prognostic estimate. . And we found out in our work that something like 70 or 80% of patients with dementia who have surgery come from the community, who are coming from home. That provision was taken out of Obamacare back in 2007, 2008. So, where they end up after, what happens to them and where they end up is actually a big deal.
