Through a series of events, I started working as a consultant to the Department of Corrections in around 2006, and I was assigned to the California Medical Facility. Healthcare staff were afraid of patients with HIV because there wasn’t clarity on how it was transmitted. Michele: Yep. And then they entered. We did a MoCA on one.

Started as a direct case manager, worked in a variety of different places including the state legislature and I’ve been with the state office now since 2006. And that referral can be done in real time, a soft handoff. We just kind of start to amass these handouts and I would give them to the patient. Eric: And Susan?
