Through a series of events, I started working as a consultant to the Department of Corrections in around 2006, and I was assigned to the California Medical Facility. There was some at the time, which was 2006 so also, it’s been a while since the guidance has been updated and other guidance for other viral infections like hepatitis B and C. Do we need specialists who care for people living with HIV, whether they’re geriatrics specialists or palliative care specialists?
