Through a series of events, I started working as a consultant to the Department of Corrections in around 2006, and I was assigned to the California Medical Facility. But if the services that they require aren’t able to be provided within, they have Health Net as their insurance, so we contract with specialists in the community.

This model will give participating programs a per-member-per-month payment to offer care management, care coordination, and other services such as caregiver training, disease education, and respite.
