I have felt as I’ve come through this field over the last, I guess 2003 is when I realized I wanted to be a palliative care doctor. I would talk about this, except I was a clinician, and I’m seeing these folks in the hospital and in clinic. So we realized that we had a series of cross-sectional studies in San Francisco from the early 1990s to 2003. We looked at it and realized that in the early 1990s, 11% of folks were 50 and over, and by 2003, 37% were.
