In 2002, 1% of adults were taking gabapentinoids (gabapentin and or pregabalin). Eric: And we have Tasce Bongiovanni, who is an acute care trauma surgeon at UCSF and the San Francisco General Hospital. It’s not a controlled substance medication. Mara Schonberg is associate professor of medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. So when I got to a residency and at that point I was in residency 1999 to 2002 and we were being taught to screen everyone no matter what. And so we recruited 546 women and they were from 137 different PCPs.
